My notes on Gustavo Gutierrez’s concluding statements in the course, Spirituality of Liberation, Summer 2014 at Boston College:
I finish by asking you to have a good knowledge of theology, to support the Pope, and don’t lose a sense of humor. The sense of humor has a human value, even a Christian value. We are important people, but not so important. This is very important to be really relational. It’s necessary. We need to support the vision today of the Pope, to speak with other people. The question is to change mentalities.
We have to try to be actors.
Well my friends, many thanks for this week.
Many thanks for this life.
I took that course in 2008. What a lovely human.
